There was an MEW Special Edition - not part of the numbered, 4 weekly series of issues - dedicated to workshops which featured Cherry Hinds's workshop.
BTW. Writing in capitals on web-group, chat groups, blogs, etc is taken to be that you are shouting at the readers. It doesn't bother me but some may "flame" you for it.

I don't exactly know what I was expecting but I found that article on Cherry Hinds's workshop very disappointing
I'Ve found that my own workshop, and others I've seen, has evolved over time and circumstances. That perhaps in more interesting that the finished thing cleaned up for the camera.

I found the same disapointment in cherry's article, I thought she may have been a bit more open about her ideas, methods of work etc. I once got chatting to her at an exhibition and found her to be equally secretish, maybe we all expect too much.

Hi All,
I think you may find that Cherry did not tidy her workshop specially for the photograph. I suspect it is always like that!!
I have spoken with her many times and always find her quite willing to explain how she does things. However sometimes she explains them in a way which is not too easy to understand for me. The trouble is visualising something when one only has words.
Incidentally, she did tell me the secret to her work, although I don't think she realised it at the time:
She said "I just fiddle about with things till I get it right...."
I guess a lot of us do that, but only fiddle about till we get it nearly right!!
I know I am only joking but there is quite a lot of truth in it.
Chris.
