I was sent this by a friend in a motorcycle club.........Have a look and just let the images speak for themselves.......... Hover your mouse over the first photo and it fades into to-day's image.....Then scroll down to the next, etc.................................... PS}--- some of the images are bigger than the screen so scroll down to the bottom of each for a description................ interactive.guim.co.uk/embed/2014/apr/image-opacity-slider-master/index.html?ww2-dday

Hello --- I got those instructions slightly wrong----place your mouse on the first image, left-clik and hold for a moment and they'll change into to-days scene..........

I've never seen anything quite like that before, that's rather good.

It is a shame that here in dearest England once something was bombed it was mostly cleared away and something modern put up in its place! Coventry and Plymouth spring to mind both places being windswept and difficult to shop in during the rainy season. "Yes I have lived in both places!!!"
Closer to Railways but sad is an album of damage somewhere on the continent I came into ownership of several years ago and have just done a photograph of each. You Tube springs to mind to post on!!!

I have spent the afternoon waiting for the rain to stop but instead uploaded my first contribution to You Tube! Rediscovered these few photos do show some very sad damaged railways that may jog someones memory. They do show possibly recognisable locations in some of them. Damaged Railways somewhere in Europe on You Tube will find them. David. AKA Steamsearcher!!!
