Spring is in the air, our workshops are warming up and the TV is full of asinine rubbish, so we have good reason to get on with our projects. Unfortunately, it is also the time of year when SWMBO cracks the whip on all those outstanding house jobs! I've just replaced/refitted the garage door opener and repainted the garage door, I now have to top dress and re-seed the lawn so that it will be well overgrown when we get back from Croatia. Oh, and there's the drive needing resurfacing... John

Working, then in my spare time preparing my workshop for a move, putting things like 6" chucks in boxes that can still be lifted by the removals firm....

Dog walking, dog walking, dog walking. I am slowly getting back in shape after the worst few months health-wise I have ever had.
Up to 7.5 miles a day now.

I've been busy working, and over the last week fighting a broken bolt in one of the Land Rovers....7/16" UNF, 7.25" long, mostly in a tube and it's seized solid! Winning now though, heat oil heat bash and drill a hole up the middle and it's just starting to give up. I have done a bit on the engine but not had time to post it yet. Done a bit for David and David is doing a bit on his too.

Been working Boadicea's backhead and the dripping Everlasting blowdown valve but nothing worth reporting, bit like watching paint dry actually. Jim

Been busy finishing off our re-vamped station in time for opening last Sunday. Also getting my Hunslet ready Easter - until recently it's been too cold in the workshop - must be getting soft in my old age! Ray.

Grass cutting, gardening, grandchild minding (playing Postman Pat Snakes and ladders) ,oh and 3 1/2" regulator making, frames for ride on trolley, 7 1/4" axle boxes and cylinders. That's the beauty of being retired all the free time in the world. Regards Paul

Unlike some of you lucky retired persons, I still have to work to pay your pensions . (:-) However when the Dragon lets me escape in the late evenings, I have been wracking my brains over the poor drawings for my Stuart Triple and trying to figure out how to machine some of the bits with my limited resources. Now spring is coming SWMBO is muttering about "going out" for the day instead of letting me escape down to the track to a bit of sanity. I still have to repair my HF Transmitter, so I can get back on the air. Tempus Vincit Omnia!
