Len Steel took over the late Gordon Chiverton's tooling and designs shortly before Gordon became ill.
i havent tested any of Len Steel's injectors but if they are up to Gordon's standards they will be the best currently available, unless you make you own! so pete's plug is entirely appropriate. the firm pete mentions have a website.
i occasionally make the odd few injectors for close friends and seem to have a growing sideline of altering not particularly wonderful commercial injectors for even more friends!
michael, i would suggest you contact Polly Eng who used to market Gordon's injectors to see what they may have left of his stock specifying his injectors. you want 24/26 oz per min or less.
cheers, julian

hi ed,
re your 2.5"g injector gone 'AWOL' the first injector i made was the late Bill Carter's 'weeny' injector described by Laurie Lawrence in ME but shortened to how how Bill made his originally. i have made quite a few small injectors to the Eric Rowbottom designs described by Basil Palmer in ME. these work extremely well, and being longer than the LBSC type are more efficient.
with the smaller injectors the main thing (apart from the rather extreme tolerances) is the finish on the internals of the cones, plus very accurate depth of the steam cone into the first part of the combining cone to achieve the correct annular gap.
cheers, julian

My two verticals from Polly work a treat. I think they have found a suitable replacement for this item.
Cheers David
