This might be the wrong plcce but Don passed away last Friday. He showed me a letter a couple of years ago giving him six weeks but we agreed to fight on. We, as in him! But two years on he has succound to cancer and we can give him a great farewell at the Basingstoke Crem, on Tuesday 14 July at 12:30. Don was a member of Southampton, Andover and Malden and loved his 7 1/4" Schools. I helped him put it into his car a little while ago and we both said how heavy these locos were getting! A good bloke as they say and a great friend. Sorely missed. Might see you there. Cheers David

David,
A forum like this is never the wrong place to lament the passing of a fellow modeller.

Don was a nice guy. Now playing with the railway in the sky. Rest in Peace.

Deeply saddened to hear of Don's passing - a decent chap and always helpful over the years that I knew him as a fellow member of the Andover Society.
