Now many years ago I began one of these for a friend in the Tiverton Club who had a Lion... Years later after I had done the sides with many holes for rivets he turned round and said he was giving up on Boilers and had not done any to mine! Would Sir like two sides as I made 4 at the time! Shame it would have gone well (sorry pun intended) behind The Titfield Thunderbolt!!!
Happy New Year. David and Lily and Katie.

Hi Dave------- how's the first year of retirement gone then ?? Yes, I think just the basic wagon without the footrest etc. for a simplified version would be OK.............The idea is to attach an extra battery behind the existing shunter engine to double the electrical capacity ie}--- endurance.......I thought that some sort of slip-on Plasticard, Flask-like profile would be better than an obvious battery one... Best regards Alan

Hi Alan, Yes, I shall get them out and complete the rounding of curves? Yes they are welded together and needed some curved angles bending round formers to fit. If you remember from the film quite a complex but rewarding job once done! Superb with stronger internals for a driving trolley especially when it says 20 TONS TARE!! Might fit through the small letters slot in the Post Office!!
Best Regards David. Lily is sleeping.

In fact superbly we now find a use for all the out of scale SPEEDY buffers and Beams and convert them into ready made ends for these!! Hooks as WELL!!!
David. Too many projects sometimes bring rewards.

HI, Yes we will start tidying now I have made 2 cabinets for the workshop! Priorities of course!! Also getting the Garage finished off with better storage and a super new well insulated roof! It is paying off and have only had the heating on for 3 seperate hours so far!! Saving for the cold snap!! I am giving up Wednesdays as there is an aperthy in the club over the track extension?? Honestly I got involved at Plymouth... Tiverton... And Newton Abbot all new tracks. Come on Reading!!! Get something in steam for the summer!
Drove down to Selco for bits and saw one of the new units blasting through! Still lots of Freight and 66's!
Best Regards David and Lily.

Hi Alan, If you have back issues of ME, David Hudson described the construction of a Low MAC driving trolley using his self steering wheel set. February, March, April, May ( these cover the discussion off & his design for self strewing wheel sets & swing link suspension, including tyre profiling), June, July, August, cover the Low MAC design 2003.
If you haven’t got access to back issues PM me & im sure we can sort something out if you are interested!
Cheers Kerrin
