Hello everyone, Some of you might know about a "Garden" Railway owned and operated until his passing by the late Ted Martin at Thame, Oxon??........ www.thetimes.co.uk/article/ted-martin-jmstv3x5k8mIt was my privilege to have visited a couple of times, to see the 7.25" GWR The Great Bear model that he was currently building and discuss our common interest...... I furnished him with some York drawings that I think he found of use... I was hoping to return at one stage to take some photos but alas time and circumstance overtook us both..........However, as it's been a while now I was wondering if any of you might have contact details such that I might ask Mrs. Martin for permission etc .............. Thanks in advance Alan

I am afraid that Mrs Martin passed away last July. We are hoping to run the railway this year but have not set any dates yet. If you require details please contact me on kevinmockford19@gmail.com

We have done two visits being quite local and with a Steam line to visit during the Morning! SUPERB! And yes you get to share a dream that Ted had many years ago for a few Hours. Distinctly GREAT WESTERN so any fear of Fang Bolts 2 off per chair has to be overcome first! Yes it has chairs and wedges and Bullhead Rail! And you have to sit upon Chocolate and Cream Coaches! Many of the Locomotives I saw being built during my Teenage Years so this is where my interest grew!
Power of the Faithful? Our first visit was greeted by a heavy downpour and many of the Newton Abbot Boys huddled in the greenhouse with big smiles and a positive attitude. Divinely someone looking down cleared the sky and a super afternoon ensured! Lots of love. David and Lily.
