From memory unladen weight is somewhere around 34 - 35 tons. Add weight of at least 64 average passengers? Any pics of the plate on the end that gives this info?
Incidentally a TSO isn’t a corridor coach....in case that matters.

Assuming that you are referring to Mark 1 Tourist Standard (or Second) Open as the corridor mention would suggest ( and not Trailer Second Only) this page has the info you seek if you read down a bit & also has a link for further detail - if required. Regards, Phil.

Not sure if this is of any help. In Parkin's 'Mk1 Coaching Stock of British Railways' the SKs weighed 33-7tons Dia 146, 35tons Dia 147, 149 and 31tons Dia 150. To these figures you may need to add passengers which according to the link in Phil's post was assumed, in O S Nock's days to be 16 passengers to the ton.
My next job is to fit out my 5"g SK E24240. The poor folk sitting inside on boxes have been very very patient but not for much longer. Jim

Isn't that lovely ?-----------Is that a 5" railway alongside then ?? Sadly not Alan. I must complete the coach interior along with that of corridor brake behind it then comes the problem of getting the whole box and dice to the club to trundle round behind the Britannia. Nothing is ever simple is it?
