By the way, looks like one of your Hex Keys has gone all rubbery!

Simplyloco, the boiler looks great, how did you lag it? Is the wood glued on to the copper reason I ask is that I have a small vertical boiler to finish off and have no idea how to get all those strips of wood to stay in place.

The strips were held in with ordinary superglue, immediately sanded so that the dust crept into any gaps. Some left over floorboard oil was applied. The boiler bands are tight so it all stays together. I have since run the boiler and nothing has moved! Regards John

My collection is growing fast. The bottom shelf is my finished inventory, apart from a few much needed nuts in the No. 9: the top shelf the work in progress! 20190403_185631 by inkaboat, on Flickr Stuart No. 9 re-assembled and in steam yesterday. youtu.be/jAW9m7F16As

The very nice gentleman who bought my beam engine set for £720 last week called to collect it today. We went into my workshop boutique for a chat and he left it another £870 poorer... I won't need my pension at this rate! John

I started resurrecting this little beauty yesterday. It is only four inches long. New glands, gaskets and re-timing. It flies! I took it to the club today, and all declared that it was as rare as certain wooden horse dXXXXXXXs and was worth quite a lot of money! I had a trawl on the internet, and there appears to be only one for sale in the entire world, and that is at some £800+! 20190601_175058 by inkaboat, on Flickr Scruffy video here running on steam. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MtDceuO4-8&feature=youtu.be

I'm not sure it's as rare as you think, unless there is something special about this one I can't see.....I have a set of castings at home for a single acting weir pump, cost about £50 and I'm sure Polly sell them finished?
Seems to run well though.

Seems to run well though. Hi Adam Polly do indeed offer a small pump in their current catalogue. It is ready to run and quite ugly. £370...! www.pollymodelengineering.co.uk/sections/bruce-engineering/docs/Catalogue-May-2019-1.pdf

They're quite tricky to get working reliably. At least, that was the experience of a late Pumphouse regular, who made several in an attempt to equip his steam boat. He wanted a pump that would keep the water-tube boiler topped up, while he had lunch in the pub.

I suspect it will run a little more comfortably when pumping!
