This is a long shot, but I will try anyway.
I have a Black and Decker Power Centre D111. It is essentially a bench top grinder with a screwed thread in the other end for 'attachments'. Can anyone help with the thread size for this end, I have had it for years but no manual (inherited from Dad!) and I thought I could make up a pigtail and use it for buffing wheels, just cannot find the thread. I have tried to use thread gauges but the threaded hole is too small to see which one fits, I have run out of old bolts to try so I throw it open to the collective mind of MECH!
Can anyone help please?
Can do photo if it helps!!

Hi Tim, Doing a quick search on the internet, I think it's probably 3/8" x 24 UNF because that's what their chucks seem to use on old equipment. You can check the core diameter with a drill to see if the tapping size makes sense. You can also use some Blue Tac rolled out thinly and put onto a match stick to press on the inside against the threads to leave an impression to check it with your thread gauges. They also appear to use 1/2" x 20 UNF for larger chucks, so that looks like the range of threads they used.

Its a normal thread as it is on the RHS of the grinder, thank you so much!! I looked for the grinder on the Interweb and could not find it, never thought of looking for the attachments!
Yet again the combined knowledge of MECH never ceases to amaze me!!
