For those of you that can do catch up uon whatever type of cable/sat TV you have.Download tonights ( Thurs 24th April) A chap has brought in a loco and some stock from the LSSR
The Long Suffering and Smugglers Reach railway
These were built by Rowland Emmett..remember the Far Tottering railway at the Festival of Britain in 1951? and other gems back in the 50's..if not Look them up They will be restoring them, OK it isnt an in depth watch as other stuff is beiing done at th same time, but just 5mins of it is worth it

Just watched it on iplayer. Takes me back to the late 1950s or early 1960s seeing the full thing at (probably) Bingley Hall in Birmingham, Ideal Home Exhibition. I'm not sure now if it would have been the Far Tottering or Long Suffering railway, but I was fascinated with it at the time. Such a shame if thats all that is left of it.
I hate to say so, but I was most impressed with the doll restoration!
