I know this is not strictly the right forum for this question but it has the most readers. Has anyone hears of a boiler maker who stamps the boiler CRB followed by a number. I've been offered a boiler with this stamped on it. Along with tested to 200 psi. No paperwork though. Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you

I suggest you talk to your boiler inspector.
What grade of copper? What grade of silver solder? Design?
A re-test certificate obtained at the seller's expense is the absolute minimum paperwork that I would require. It may have been tested - but did it pass?
Regards
Keith

CRB is Colin Bushel Engineering. The 2½" KIng that I restored had a boiler by him. The boiler should be fine but will require a 2X shell test again as there is no paperwork.

Hi George,
Yes, CRB is Colin Bushell and his boilers are good. I am pretty sure he is no longer in business.
All best Chris.

Many thanks gentlemen. I could see that the boiler is a pro build. Very neat and clean. Just never seen that mark before.
