The OP hasn’t been on line for over three years so is unlikely to respond to this. Remember the question is ten years old.:-)

Hello! I’ve just joined the forum having found this particular thread. I picked up a new, unused Microflame Model-B setup this afternoon. Although I have two fresh nitrous bottles and an unused butane one too, it would be good to see what could be done to keep the butane supply going! 92220 seemed interested in seeing what could be done, so I’ll try to link to pictures of the torch and the bottles. www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-radio-shack-archer-micronox-52636809

Nitrous oxide is laughing gas isn't it? And its going to be banned by the end of the year?

Thanks Mosstin! I’ve just swung by during another search for recharging ideas, so great to know that your solution is still working well. I’d better get to it…

Hi, Am new member and wondered if anyone knows where to get replacement micronox cylindrs, in the UK, for my Microflame torch. Thanks, Mike I just found a microflame yesterday while cleaning out and sorting my dad's house. It has 2 cannisters in it but both are empty. I started trying to find refills and came across this forum and the dilemma microflame owners have faced in being able to use there torches. First micronox is just a brand name for nitrous oxide NO2. You can find these cartridges at any restaurant supply store or most smoke shops, or head shops as we called them growing up. As for the butane cannister nobody currently makes those bit I found the perfect refillable replacement. images.app.goo.gl/M99GvqBi3QvLSg6fAI hope this helps everyone to be able to get those torches down off the shelf and put them to some use.

Nitrous oxide is laughing gas isn't it? And its going to be banned by the end of the year? Well it's being banned for "recreational purposes" and illegal to posess for non "legitimate use" so I would say it should still be available for model engineering use? Anyone know any better? Ian

If it can still be used for "legitimate use," then use with a gas torch is "legitimate use".
