Hello Everybody
Well as it's so quite, and I haven't updated my website for over a year (www.geocities.com/davidimurray) I thought I'd give you a brief update on what's been going on.
Well, it's a few months since I last managed to get any work done on Conway. As I now live in South Wales in a flat, Conway is stored at my parents place in North Wales. The boiler is almost complete, only requiring staying to complete. The smokebox and some of the valves have been made, the cabsheets have been hacked to shape and the water tank plates have been roughly formed to shape.
Even though I've moved to South Wales i've been working for the last few years as a draughtsman for a certain well known Narrow Gauge railway. Anyone who visited Railfest in york will have seen some of my work!
I've also started doing some work on converting a mini-mill to CNC control. Made the electrics, just need to do the mechanical.
Another project I'm working on is the design of my 3 1/2" NG15 locomotive. This will be rather large at almost 8 foot (yes 8 foot ) long when completed. This is all being done on the computer, I may even post some pictures if people are interested.
Well, that's me. What's everyone else upto ?
Dave

Some of us pushed it up and down, up and down, up and down at Railfest. It is estimated 18,000 people travelled on the train during the week at Railfest. Roughly 40 people per loading up and down twice per go. On the footplate we started to forget if it was the first or second out and back, sometimes it made three trips Nigel

And a jolly good job all you guys did as well. Must say the CRV is oustanding. Not only that the blue boxes were there, and I've just been doing the paperwork for the boiler of a certain green engine that was there as well. ;D
