Thanks.just had the valve apart and the spring is solid. The safety valve is the long type. Can anyone recommend a new safety valve supplier for the correct profile valve . thanks.michael

Only modern boiler require the pressure to be part of the code. My Hunslet boiler is RMES 90/1.

Nick the requirement for an identity number only became compulsory with the advent of the new test codes in 2005/6. So unless it was a commercially made boiler where the maker would have put his own code on it, it didn't have to have an identity stamped on it at all. Furthermore I think only NAME require that the identity consisted of the club number , working pressure and serial number on boilers. The Southern Federation just require a unique identity. I don't know about the Midland Federation or the 7 1/4 Society though. George Ray

Sorry julian, missed your point.please dont make me out to be a dealer, cant stand them.i collect and use loco, s.i saw the pansy at a local auction When looking for at the desks. If you wish for a full list of my bits and bobs I willingly let you have one. O I am still looking for a good small Victoria n desk. Can we now get back to the pansy safety valve now.thanks, michael
