During the Summer we visited Andover and had a wonderful day running on there track extension. Now during met and became friends with someone who has a Chinese wife! Made even better by the Chinese Wife coming from the same area as Lily.
Then I get a phone call chatting about his Next Project. Go on GUESS?

Hi Geoff, liners look excellent. I inherited the plans and wheels for one of these from my Father and two other models he was progressing so I have not started it yet. However, I did manage to pick up the cylinder castings at a vastly reduced price a few weeks ago so collecting parts has begun.
Regards, Dave

My second build began when I looked through the box of bits that came with a boiler and water Jet cut frames and bits. Reeves Girls were contacted about a swap of 20 year old wheels which are about £50 above the Prairie ones. They know nothing about weathered castings and she did not treat this in the MANOR appropriate. Did she go to a School called GRANGE Hill. Yes they are Grange Manor wheels same size. But they could also fit a very early Prairie.
So when a machined set came up on Ebay I forged another name and purchased. Upon contacting the person via a farm 20 miles beyond Pembroke said "He had 3 boxes of associated bits and could deliver for CASH!!!!!!" Box 3 had the Fabled Cylinders. Reeves never did get round to getting the joggle pre-made into some frame steel for prospective builders!! Now they have sold all the Boiler plate formers including the ones covering their designs?
Welcome Dave to the Merry Band.
Yes I even have a Neighbor who started one many years ago.

Hi Geoff, Very nice job with the liners! I used cast iron as some came with the box of bits with the project. Hope you can sort out those casting defects.I wonder if one of the valve chest liners will cover the one defect? PA270007 by Laurie 73082, on Flickr

Hi Laurie, your Liners have come up alright too. Think with the Cylinder block, I will mill a pocket step and cap then easyflow in place. Weld cover/hide a multitude of imperfections.
