The angle grinder is an ignored tool. I think this is because so many articles were written before angle grinders were common place. It would be good to see an series of articles in a model engineering magazine "101 ways with angle grinders". I have found it great for roughing out lathe tool bits. A wheel intended for aluminium cuts brass like butter.

Hi Pete, Pleased to see you got sorted. There's some stuff I found on the net, but haven't used yet, which is supposed to be for re lining worn nuts, building up worn slideways etc. apparrently it comes as either a low viscosity fluid or putty consistency that you mix with hardner / accelerator, and with a none stick agent (to coat any bits you don't want it to bond to).
