Hello. I have a couple of 3.5 inch steam locos - Juliet, which is finished and working and William which is still in the construction stage. I have just been given a partially completed model engine, which seems to be "1" gauge or "G" gauge - the track dimension being about 45 cms. It comprises the bodywork which I think must be of nickel silver and CoCo bogies. It has a single pantograph which is broken, so this is one thing I can easily repair, but I have no idea what it is a model of and unfortunately I don't seem to be able to include any pictures because this forum has exceeded its attachment space limit! I assume that it could be motorised, although I have no suitable track. I maybe just repair the cosmetics and paint it as a display model, though this does seem rather a shame. Any comments? Michael you can simply include a link in your post to a photograph storage server such as photobucket.com or imageshack.com , there are several and they are free to use. We would then be able to see pictures of your engine and comment. this is an example of how it works the image is not on the MECH server but on your chosen photo server , hence no pressure on MECH Dan.

Hi Abby - Thanks very much for your reply - I have added a link, though not the same way as you have done. Anyway it does now seem possible to view the model in question. Mike

It seems that what I have is a BR class 89 locomotive, which has a Bracknell Willis pantograph. Plenty of pictures on the internet to make a decision concerning livery.
