Must admit that I use the X axis fast rewind quite a lot on my mill. I hardly ever use manual feed. Power feed will always give a better finish, especially on long cuts.
I recently bought a second power feed for the Y axis. Just got to find time to fit it though!!

Aplogies for not getting back
First of all
Tim dont worry about the hijacking lol, would rather all the info is on one thread than checking several
Peter
Nancy bankrolled me for the Easson DRO kit the other week, the full 3 axis one and i am now like a pig in clover or whatever. So much so that after visited John ans seeing his tender i realised that mine was a pile of keek. So i am getting new frames cut and re doing the tender horns and axleboxes. I know i am back to sq 1 but i want it right.
I work on the principal .. MY engine MY rules, and whilst i might not like wht other people have done.. I refer myself back to that rule!!!
So back onto ready to fit stepper motors, And i will be a bit mercenary about the cost. If it helps me make a better model than i am all for it. The Easson kit nearly matches to Miller, BUT worth every penny, even more so when i work out the instruction manual
