With the continuing theft of models. would fitting a tracker in the water space ( emptied of course) be a wise move? Unlike a car one it need only be put there when the loco is stored....just in case Some cat ones seem small 50p size and have a 2 week battery life

Good idea but I fear the signal would be lost if the tracker were to be surrounded by metal?
Faraday cage and all that!

It's something I will definitely be looking into when I get near to completion. I think that you can get trackers for bikes and motor bikes that may be worth looking at. Something to think about.

With a bit of imaginative design the tracker could be mounted on the exterior disguised as a "something"

As Jessie got undressed down to just her FRAMES I got out the Letter and number Stamps and bashed our postcode in various places that only I know about!!!! But a tracker sounds well worth looking into. Strangely I did a club article on the possibilities of building your transport Boxes resembling more of a DANGEROUS ANIMAL IN TRANSIT disguise. Than one containing something a bit more TAME and nickable!!!
Just going off to build that MUCH NEEDED 3D PRINTER to encapsulate one or two. David and Lily.
