Half round beading for tender

There doesn't seem to be a 'standard' width for this. looked at several locos and they range 3/32 to 5/16

There is no indication on Martin Evans B1, D16 or B12 build notes which surprises me. The cab surrounds for the B17 are shown as 3/32 and the outer beading 1/8

I didn't get the plans for the tender as it is a GS type where mine will have the GE version. Will it be a case of it it looks OK, it is?

I can only say what's on 'Doncaster'... tender and cab half-round beading is 3/16 with the window half-round beading being 3/32. I would think that your B17 would be the same but can't say for sure, I doubt that it was bigger?

I looked at that in LLAS and wondered if it were a misprint! 1/8 looks a bit OTT,but that could be me! I might buy an inch or two of 3/16 as a sample!! before i take the plunge.

Had the Red Arrows and the French mob due to pass over us yesterday, Had a choice between Hut Hill and the Broadmoor ( yes, that Broadmoor) Roundabout, Chose Hut Hill and the buggers went right behind us , with the only trees on the hill in the eay... Now if i had gone to the roundabout.....right over my head
