A mate of mine was in Jordan a few years ago to commission a new conveyor plant at a very large quarry, he had overseen all the plant tested in the UK and shipped out there and erected on site, the plant was ready to go and the company ceo was to press the button, press, nothing, press again, nothing, my mate was pulled up and was asked to explain why, eventually he traced it to an electrical fault, the electrician was called in (he was the Jordanian company's sparks who had wired it to the main supply) and he said it was all wired up right as per drawing so should work, anyway in the end they wired the UK for the works sparks to be flown out, three days later he arrived and had it running in 5 mins, when asked what had been the problem he said that all he done was changed two of the phase wires round. The ceo went and fired their sparks on the spot.
