Fusion 360 used to be free for home use, and I have been using it on and off for a few years now. I have just reopened it after a few months of not using it, and I can use it but not it appears save my drawing! At the top of the fusion sheet there is a note that says "Autodesk Fusion 360 (term has expired). Has anyone else had this problem, or am I missing something.
I only want it to try to master cad, and am certainly not intending to use it commercially.
I would be delighted if anyone could throw a bit of light on the subject please.
best wishes
Jem

Hi Jem, yes I have the same problem and I cannot see a way round it using my existing email. I have been told recently that it is still available free for hobby users so I am planning to just create another email, probably gmail or yahoo and use that to create a new user. I know I'll have lost everything I have done but luckily that's nothing of any real consequence for me.

Chris When you get it back up and running. Save everything to your hard drive. You can do this via the export function. Means if it happens again you have copy. I never save anything to the cloud. Dave

Thanks for the advice Dave, luckily nothing of any real importance lost but I'll take your advice when I get up and running again.

It appears to have worked without even removing the old version from my laptop. I now have the latest version and can access all my old designs so good on Autodesk. Best you try this and hopefully you'll get as lucky as me. Chris D

All you need to do is download it again and that resets the free use timeclock?

I believe that the free licence only lasts for twelve months - but you can renew, free of charge, when it does expire. If you use it regularly, you get a reminder before the due date (from memory). Autodesk say that they intend to keep the free licence for hobby users and annual renewals seem a small price to pay. I'm a very keen user of F360, so fingers crossed that commercial pressures don't change their policy...

I had this a few months back, all i needed to do was to go to the download pages or update my info with fusion and everything was restored again, with an update too. I think it is just so they can keep tabs on where their freeware is and who has it so that no terms can be broken, such as commercial use of the free program. It is still free for hobby use, and i hope it continues that way. I'm still getting to grips with fusion but i am slowly improving. Regards Jon

Some aspects are no longer free such as some of the more advanced CAM options though you can pay a small fee to get to use it for a set periods of time. If the icon has changed to a spanner that will be one affected.
