Here goes for the first! My Lovely Wife suggested "That we needed a NEW TOILET ROLL HOLDER for 2020!" I did the order but the Computer unfortunately got the Cereal Numbers Wrong. Lucky for ME it still holds Toilet Rolls! David and Lily.

A loo roll holder with built in drip tray.... You might be in to something there for us men of a certain age.

That's the trouble when you 'panic buy' loo rolls, you have to find somewhere to hide them from the neighbours LoL.

Hi manofkent I just about got the Brass bits polished, or in this instance Burnished and hung up in time. Was about 11 in the evening of sending said Photo off to our Editor. To join the writing bit!!
Some of the cylinders come out a bit heavy but the wheels seem to defy gravity! Some of the festive String may work out great for packing.
Lily got a great shot out of the car window today that may make it onto here. I am hoping that others will contribute! You cant post Pictures on the other Joke section.
David and Lily.
Just back from making 2 more photos for Clashes in Chinese words related.

I had everything planned for a Steamy Weekend away. Tickets booked in advance. Which Locomotives would be working. (INCLUDING 1501 OF COURSE) Timetables down or uploaded. Studied with meticulous care. A Google Street search for the BEST CHINESE in Kidderminster. Walking distance of the Station. The best Car Park. The best place to camp out. New card for the camera. List of Locomotives on static display. Their location and Livery. And we were there. What would you do if you forgot THE TAPE MEASURE??? David and Lily.

I couldn't resist sharing the e-Christmas card received from a narrow gauge and model engineering friend. I believe it is doing the rounds, but it hasn't appeared on this forum yet! Malcolm !cid_ii_kiloucey0 by malcolm brown, on Flickr

Learning Chinese next lesson. Lily helped me with this one and in Chinese is an easy mistake to make, as TWE TWE and TWE TWE if said correctly either says Hammer or Leg. Could get you some Very Funny looks on a Chinese Building Site. David and model Lily.

OO-err !!...A horrible feeling of helplessness....You can clearly see what's going to happen and can't do a thing about it....
In modern day parlance that looks like an unauthorised SPAD ----- Signal Passed At Danger....unless they had a ticket from the Signalman giving them written authority to do so....for example, if that stop signal is not working......but then I'd have expected a green flag from the box AFTER the catch points had been set.... Interesting the length of whistle given, also nobody on the footplate looks out at any time......and the crowd just seem un-moved by it all !!
It's almost impossible to see the points from the loco footplate that close....the youtube comments seem to fixate on the points and entirely miss that the signal is at danger...
46521 on loan from the SVR
Thanks Les---nice one !!
PS}---- I keep looking for signals from "'er indoors" but still get de-railed non the less !!

As you say Delapume, two people on the footplate making the same mistake at the same time. In the last century there was at least two instances of both crew men seemingly ignoring signals on routes they daily worked on resulting in carnage, and because the footplatemen were killed the mystery of their actions was never solved, and as so some wild theories grew around the circumstances of the accidents. Shrewsbury was one and I can't remember the other.
