Thanks for the suggestions guys. I suspect most of it will go up in smoke on the fire pit. I'm too lazy for anything fancy on the BBQ....mind you it has a little chimney for smoking... perhaps when the right BBQ weather returns... Regards Pete

And it came to pass that we got new neighbors part way through the building work just after a brick from the chimney came off in my hand!! The 2 pots were discovered hiding within so were saved till the last for sticking on. Rob is a site Supervisor so upon completing the shared stack went round to inform of the pending payment of £8.00 for materials. "It is on the HOUSE!" I Joked. Prior to the move out of next door. She came round late at 8 and asked if I could Please remove the SILLY builders sign. I told another Friend in the road. He danced a jig or gig and then composed himself. "At 80" he laughed. My leaving present was to Kango hammer more concrete from the front all morning of their final morning. Theirs was to wipe everything down and put 2 boxes of wet wipes down the toilet. Dino rod were there for 2 days. My final departing shot was to bark loudly as she got in the car. They had 3 dogs that would be left all day while they were at work. Her mad driving down the road told us that we had hit the mark. OH and I had the flags out! David and Lily. They had a go at me by the local CO OP a day later. "You were the reason that we moved!!" he shouted at me. I lasted 150 yards drive away stopped, and lost it to laughter. 11 years previously friend in the road who loves dancing, found their previous place of residence... They were still celebrating after three weeks when he went on a visit.

What we started with at the front a leaking front Bedroom ceiling led to major mending. And the more that came off the reason for such a cold house showed itself. The only option was to MACHINE FROM THE SOLID!!! The 2017 sign lasted all year. Travel back to please! It has worked out very well and has not fallen down having carved half the blocks away. Talking of FALLING DOWN. An incident in the kitchen which also had major leaking problems and cold. It is still COLD. I have another plan involving the walls. NEXT DOOR are going back to work early January. Returning for lunch. We have a timetable. The second job as most of the roof leaked. Funny but someone at work spent the last 2 years before we left the old buildings 1960s. Was to capture the leaks in Tomato trays suspended. And overflow in 25 mm pipe to the nearest outside wall and drill a hole. IT WORKED. Me Not Enough Trays. David and Lily.

Probably the MAIN REASON that we have not got anything in steam at the moment. I went on to replace the Green Garage roof as a late afternoon job to be out of the sun. Complete rebuild.
Happy new Year everyone.
David and Lily.

Much work on the garage to build a superb roof. One I managed to beg off Bodgeit and Scarpers web site before it vanished into the distance. I liked the use of guttering got cheaply in a bundle. Lily choose the bargeboard with a curve. 150 mm of insulation then got put on the Garage Roof after skilfully cutting out a carefully measured hole for the second rooflight. This makes working on the odd lathe a pleasure. Underneath IN the Garage of course. A National shortage of REDLAND 49's meant that a TILE hurst roof went without. The Irony. David, and Lily doing a superb job of handing stuff up.

Aargh! David, please don't show us photos of that scaffold on the roof again! In my working life I saw (and condemned) too much stuff like that, if only to avoid a subsequent Coroners Inquest.

Rest of crew laughing heavily at both of us. Not one word about the loco 2018 Many wonderful drives of friends model locomotives. Speedy, Simplex, Pansy, Poly Prairie, 1400, and many more. 2018 Invite on board 847 while waiting for a late running A4 Union of South Africa at the Bluebell. THE Last built S15 Mauncell. 2019 A full year of model track visits where EVEN MORE ATMOSPHERE GOT ADDED TO IT. Dreaming Spires Oxford. Rugby Narrow Gauge Weekend. Rugby Big Four. Now removed the photo of scaffolding for health and safety reasons. BUT the roof was covered in anti slip prior to starting with the set up being assisted by a local Builder who owned the tower. Tower was fixed to the wall in various places with huge eye bolts. A days work. Checked everyday before working. Taking Health and Safety Very SERIOUSLY found this BEAUTY at Dreweatts Auction early in 2019. Also posted in Hornets Nest. This is superb for Children's Barbeques and is one of these projects that slightly go off the 7 1/4 rails. But being portable would do wonders for heating up the workshop. Also powering something. Unlimited teas. Perfect for Toast. Toasted Teacakes. And drying paint. David, and Lily who was looking forward to me fitting the Wok holder. PS We have a spare gas bottle.

And so it came to pass that our Daughter dreamed of the BRANDED TECHNOLOGY. I interpenetrated her request and set about getting her a box of them. Just one seemed a bit mean. EYE just don't know what the excitement is? David and Lily.

Washing up can have beneficial side effects! Grime, grease, oil, mill scale and the like will be removed by the action of this simple domestic chore, a good 10 minutes of soaking whilst among the pots and pans will result in hands similar to Nanette Newmans in the old (very old) adverts of the 60's and 70's. Guy.

In our toolroom, at the end of the day, it was green swarfega and sand. That was in the late 70s,long before exfoliation was the 'in' thing
