Thanks, Alan,
Yes, I can hear it there. It must have been an old recording I was watching!
Wonderfully mad, but not much more mad than the real world of nucular (George Dubya Bush) weapons...
Chris.

Again Challenge accepted. And in Yellow. Yes I once did a ride in one 11 miles 1972 Devon to School with a Teacher who lived opposite. Thankfully the Bus worked in the afternoon. DIFFERENT. David and Lily.

David and Lily. Many years ago, I had a Honda CX650 Turbo, beautiful bike but one fine summers day my back wheel lost it over the loose gravel from a resurfacing. Straight in the ditch, no messing. The only option was to get a Robin and I had to learn to drive it within 30 minutes the drive back through Oxford in the afternoon rush hour. It was a pretty good motor. One day whilst coming back to Oxford from the south on the A34 accompanied by a mate in his Astra GTE, I decided to put my toe down at the top of the long downhill stretch just before the Didcot turnoff. I got 98mph on my speedo. Was I gutted, not even the ton. We chatted in the pub later and I said to my mate that I was disappointed I never made the ton. "wtf are you on about... You were doing 108"... Big big smile

A friend of mine by the name of Ray Reid once said, "I think I'm going to get a Rolls Royce for my next car - it has my initials on it".
Someone replied, "Save yourself some money Ray, and get a Reliant Robin...."

It all started with a sort out on the end bench ready for our second Myford taking up residence there once the Painting Season is upon us again. The boxes which need a thingy to slide them into in the Workshop Extension. Under the bench. These I put a bit too close to the milling machine bench... My fault. I squeezed past complaining about altered dimensions! Lily's answer to the Workshop being far too small in some places! David and Lily.

My cousin telephoned my yesterday with the news that he's returning to work at the local College of FE machine shop, I asked him what precautions were in place regarding Covid transmission, the wearing of masks possibly?
His reply was typically dry - "Well, trousers don't stop farts escaping so what the point in wearing masks"

Talking of FARTS, you need to eat the appropriate stuff first. A sunny day in London found the above. HAPPY DAYS! And on the Flip side with all this Talk about SAFE PLACES. We may have to choose carefully as in the Long Run The FRIDGE may not be as safe as we once thought! How many have "That Cheesecake Moment" popularized by The Golden Girls? It is not big enough... It will not fit... It moved in the vice. FRIDGE. David and Lily.

A similar situation happened on the Furness Line a few days ago, the lorry ended up on its side (no one hurt). Needless to say the line into Barrow was closed while the bridge was inspected. In this 'Brave New World' of sat. nav./mobile phone tracking et al surely it's possible to have a warning system to tell wagon drivers of the imminent danger of a low bridge! Guy

Guy Funny you should say that but after last years double decker Bridge strike in Swansea, First Group are rolling out a warning system tied in with the ticket machines. The ticket machines we use are pretty accurate and as the are dedicated and tied in to its induvidual bus will issue warnings and display red danger messages should you be on a dangerous route. To impliment this, one of our first checks in the morning are that the ticket machine displays the correct bus number.

Cooking time and at last INSTRUCTIONS as to what I should be doing!! Lily's answer to Limp Veg. A vase or varse of water of course. I thought I would hold it up with some Sellotape! Perfect when you have saved a fortune on a lamp without a base. David and Lily.
