Oh no, commiserations on that. Put it aside and think. I would try to salvage it. Probably not easy but cutting out the offending pipes should be possible. Fitting new ones won't be easy but worth a try I think. What did you use to heat? Oxy-acetylene? If that, they do make burners intended for brazing. Those do not give a very pointy flame but a wider flame. Had to use one of those to seal a leaking Galloway tube. Look at something like Gloor 3654/3656/3658/3660-A. Propane gas with a big nozzle. Big mistake. I've already scrapped the thing! I've got a Berzomatic set with Mappgas/Oxygen. I don't use it as I ran out of OX many years ago and baulked at the replacement cost! John

On the plus side, the methodology you used to make the components worked. A pity as it was looking really good.

Comiserations. It was lloking very good there for a while and what you learnt about it probably means when you get your hands on the thik copper it wont take you long to make another.
