Had an interesting chat with Trevor Shortland at the weekend and understand that the drawings for the Prairie were redrawn and substantially revised by AJReeves back in the late 1970's. The original drawings have Trevor Shortland's signature on the bottom right hand corner and there is I believe one extra sheet. I have copies of both sets of drawings and although I can play detective and try and work out the differences, wondered whether anyone was aware of the changes made.

I too will be interested to know of any changes. I shall check if my sheets are signed or not.

I have just been told 3rd hand that the Prairie drawings are good and no complaints have been made.
Are all the errors mine? Or am i reading the drawings upside down again?

I am very happy with my newish set of plans, having photocopied most of them to preserve the originals which are a bit too big for the workbench. I would be interested to know if the original plans showed the injectors fittings and pipework. I helped remove 6106's ones about 20 years ago and notes made were left at Didcot. I am trying to find some factories in China to produce parts for other engines and would welcome any surgestions of what other modellers may like made. We have a container from China every 2 months full for my wife's buisnes. David Scott.

David, I'll check on my drawings when I finally get into the workshop in the next week or so. I am intrigued by the container idea - what sort of things do you have in mind? Will it be small things finish machined like boiler fittings, or do you have castings in mind?

Andy, Depending on the type of factories we find anything from castings, lost wax, cnc milled rods, and safety valve covers, domes etc. The trick is to find someone making something similar and add it to their line.
David.
