Since posting the above I've realised that you won't have the coupling rods for a while yet, but perhaps there's no real need to glue the wheels until you get them. My policy is always to delay gluing things until the last possible moment!

Hi John
Simply my fault for assuming too much. I could not have done it your wqy as firstly I had fitted the balance weights which are different on each wheel set and if I had filed the keys to fit there would have been nothing left to "key". Anyhow it's all resolved and now onto the next issue.
Any sign of kit 18 yet?

No, there's no news of a revised date for kit 18 yet - I don't know what the hold-up is now.
