I see from the Steam Traction World website this morning that The Engineers Emporium has taken over the 5" locomotive business of Modelworks.

Hi All,
Had a nice chat to Adrian from "The Engineers Emporium" yesterday. Everything seems to be going well and the guys there are slowly getting on top of the situation. He informed me that their primary concern is that of the customers who are half way through kit builds i.e Duchess. Which I consider to be excellent news.
I myself am waiting for the last Bagnall kits, which are with him, but time is needed for him to stock take all the bits. Personally I think that the key here is to have lots of patience and to be glad that somebody has taken the reigns. I think Adrain deserves our full support and really needs us (customers) to stick with him and give him whatever he needs.
Thanks
Jeremy.

Likewise, I'm glad that the such products from MW will carry on with The Engineers Emporium.
But why has nothing been stated on Engineers Emporium's website of the take over of the loco department of MW.

Hello jvas,
Not at present. I am looking at buying a part built kit from a gent I know of. Its complete with kits 1 - 13 (I think) of the total 24 kits.
I dont want to buy the part build kit should I not be able to buy the remaining kits. Simple reason is I have little time for machining parts etc as I am part of a group of friends the opperate a full size Class 55 (Deltic) and she takes most of my time up.
I have emailed The Engineers Emporium and explained whats what. I have recieved an email this afternoon from Fay at The Engineers Emporium telling me they will be updating there records etc.
Thanks, Jonny

Hi all
does anyone have a contact address for the engineers emporium?
I received a "questionnaire" (I am part way through Modelworks 14xx) but there was no SAE/address to send the answers to.
They do appear to be a little averse to taking phone calls as I have never had anyone pick up the phone on the quoted number after 5 attempts- It is a little concerning the lack of response as I suspect others like me will not part wth further cash if you arn't confident that you will get a modicum of service.

Hi I have dealt with Engineer's Emporium for a number of years, and can confirm that they are a well run family business, and although the phone may not be manned all the time, an Email will be responded to quite quickly.

I look forward to them starting new kits.
Is anyone friends or in regular contact with Engineer's Emporium as they really should state that they have taken over MW

That is empty of anything concerning 2.5", 3.5", 5" gauge kits which are the main interest here. The only message is "Stock details to follow shortly .........." which seems to have been "shortly" for a long time.

I've never liked their web site. Try finding the Lister auto - truck that's so nice on it.
I suspect the firm itself is fine, they just don't like the web. Give them a call.

Hi, I have been in contact with the Engineers Emprorium for 2 years trying to buy some 5inch Britannia parts. I have rung, emailed and spoken with Fay at Thornbury. apparently they are busy on other work and haven't got round to sorting out the Modelworks stuff. It was announced in Sept 2008 that they had bought the parts. Does it really take the best part of 6 years to sort this out? Paul
