Hi Uzzy, The Martek Handy is a great little tool if used within it's capabilities. I've had one for years with only one problem. After a long session it seized up and when I examined the plastic bearings (nylon?) they had partially melted. It was an easy job to copy them in bronze and it has worked well ever since. I also now have one of the larger versions that give me various drill angles and can take drills up to 13mm. I run them from a small 240v. motor rather than a drill, it's much quieter & can be aligned correctly with the sharpener drive shaft to avoid side loadings. Tim.
