On the main Model Engineering Clearing House clubs and societies page ( www.modeleng.org/clubs.htm) I list all those clubs (worldwide) that have been reported to me. There is only a small outside UK contingent and I would like to add more to round out the set so to speak. If your club is not listed then either leave information in the ME Club Information part of these forums or, better still, fill in the form at www.modeleng.org/clubs.htm and I shall add it on the next update. I'm not trying to criticise the idea of a non-UK list of clubs - quite the opposite, but the information it's possible to publish is very limited.
Would it be possible to publish a small amount of other information about clubs? Examples: where the club is/nearest large town (here in France there are 1200km between Calais and Narbonne!), club facilities, club's "favourite" activities, regular events, club website (although my club's would discourage anyone from visiting), etc.
Just a suggestion.

That's an interesting point that you raise - when I started the Clearing House very few clubs actually had their own web sites and the most helpful thing was the telephone number of the secretary! The site that Tel pointed me at was nicely built with more information than I chose to publish in the early days. However, I am hesitant to publish too much. When I started I actually published the club location and linked it to a mapping site - THERE WAS A HUGE OUTCRY - as clubs told me that they were very concened that my site would be used by criminals planning to steal models.] I shall consider your suggestions and respond in due course.
