Hi there...
When I was at school a wonderful old technology master once brought in his model loco for me to see. It was a pacific that looked like something between 'Sir Morris' and a Gresley A3. I believe it was 2.5 inch gauge, possibly smaller (it was nearly10 years ago!). What intrigues me is that he said it was 'stamped LBSC', which he did not know the meaning of.
Does anyone else know of other stamped locos? I dont want to start off any rumours that the loco was some secret long-lost LBSC creation, but the stamping intrigues me! Did the master stamp his own work? Why would someone else put LBSC on their loco? I honestly have no answer, so does anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks, Andy.
ps why is there so little model engineering stuff on the web? My other hobby is historical western martial arts, a far smaller world than modelling, but there is stacks, even a score of whole books online.

Thanks Tel, Just as a counterpoint, visit my old martial arts club site library: www.sirwilliamhope.org/Library/There are loads of clubs with online libraries just like that. I presume its because that stuff is old an off copyright, whereas LBSC articles etc would still be owned by someone. Andy.
