Hello All, I have been posting in the Modelworks section all about my Winson 1400 and its problems, I'm guessing many have read all about my difficulties and how I have overcome them or not....! Anyway, I'm now in need of some help due to my extreme lack of engineering skill, tools, etc ! I have decided to go with Cast Iron Piston rings, but I need someone to make new pistons with cast iron rings and rods and sort out the piston bores to suit.... Is anyone (or know of anyone who would be) able to do this for me, money isn't really an issue as it just needs to be done... For more info, bits on what I've already done and details on why I have decided I need this done please see the ModelWorks section - Winson 1400 Problems list. Thanks Very Much, Waiting in anticipation! Steve

I've got two 7 1/4" engines in the shop at the moment for rebuild plus another to build from scratch but making pistons and rods is not such a big job. Plenty of people advertise similar services in the M. E. and the 7 1/4" Soc Mag but if you are really stuck I could fit the job in. ( If its any reccomendation we did make a Winson Baldwin go really well - eventually)

If you look at the back of Engineering in Minitature or Model Engineers Workshop you will see a number of people advertising the kind of service you need.
Good luck.
