Hello All,
Could anybody tell me how a hit & miss engine works or point me in the direction of some information?
I can't seem to work out how they work.
Thanks,
Nick

Nick,
These things are fascinating things. The current Model Engineer (Vol 195 No 4256 16-29 September) has a feature on making a "Red Wing Motor Co" air cooled version. If you want/need one start here.
This particular article complements their new IC Engines feature started a couple of issues back.
I saw a very neat model hit n'miss engine a few years back on the SMEE stand at the Donnington MEX. Maybe this one is from the same stable. So far there are no details on sourcing the castings kit other than from the US.
