In the quill is a drive key the collets connect with. What is it I and can you make your own? Mine is worn away. I was looking in the photocopy of the manual I have and it seems to indicate you can screw it out. Replacement looks relatively easy but a bit of prior knowledge would be helpful.
Thanks

Jim,
IIRC the key is there to stop the collet from spinning when you tighten the drawbar; if you have no problem with this and the collet still locates OK then possibly leave it as is.

It should be one socket grub screw with a reduced end to fit the slot in the collet and a second one to lock. They don't normally wear but shear ( most cases where a large morse taper drill has been used with an adaptor )

Thanks Paul, just as you said and not that hard to sort out, as I found out this weekend.
