Does anyone know of a source of information on the 'net dealing with Matrix clutches. I am having a bit of trouble getting to grips with the one fitted to my Colchester Triumph.
I have the manual for the lathe and, although spares for the clutch are listed in it, the dismantling and setting up are entirely ignored. I thought I had found the problem when I discovered that there was a thrust washer missing from the input shaft in the head gearing, but replacing it and getting rid of that lost motion has only improved the situation slightly. It still will not "lock in", even though the total lost motion is now down to a few thous.
