I'm not going but if anyone is and would like to share photos there is 25MB spare space on the www.modelengine.co.uk website where we can put them. If they are really good pictures we can probably find more space. Contact Alan Stepney or me if you would like to take the offer up.

All,
I went today (Friday). From my perspective is was great but a comment overheard from one of the retailers was that the money wasn't flooding in probably for the reason I was enjoying it: it wasn't crowded.
I found a good range of models spread around the two halls. The usual vendors were there with the lathes/milling kit, a couple of material suppliers, ArcEuroTrading, Chronos, the Dartmouth lot, and Proops for odd goodies to the serious hardware and a good smattering of the other suppliers. If you need a DRO AET did seem the cheapest and I circumed to 2x6" + 1x12" for a mere 70 quid. (appologies to the other traders I missed). TEE have a very good range of the usual books and there's a couple of the previously knackered by someone else vendors. My ride bought a second hand backplate for 20 quid only to find a brand new one for 15 five minutes later (ouch).
I did two of the lectures, one from DAG Brown on injectors and another from a chap on flash steam as used in straight running boats, sort of a nostalgia thing. I missed the lecture on clocks.
The food was OK (breakfast was) and the loos have the edge on Donnington. Actual space is quite a lot less than Donnington. They had a second tempory hall full of stuff and the guys chuffing up and down on the grass outside. (Note: usual disclaimer re suppliers etc.)

Hi all.Have returned from todays expedition to the exhibition.Very enjoyable, crowds of folk about, even managed to see some old freinds and meet some new faces. I think I'll definatley go again next year, and I'll remember to take my camera, given the excellent standard of models on show.

Hi all,
Just to add my twopennyworth, the guy doing all the moaning about being quiet was not selling items that real model engineers want (what is a real model engineer?) Most traders were quite contented with the way the new venue was performing. As a visitor I was impressed, looking forward to next year already!
