Does anyone know where i can get some frames cut for my new model Or alternatively do anyone know someone that has 7 1/4 14xx frames for sale.

Hi James.Have you tried Reeves?I saw some 5" 1400 frames in there just the other week.Otherwise it maybe a case of looking for metal suppliers/cutters in yellow pages,taking your plans round to them and asking for a quote.

Hi James Try as Phil suggested but it will be cheaper if you put your plans onto a CAD package yourself and take them a DXF file. There was a company on the net www.laserframes.co.uk/ you could try but their site is down at the moment. I think from memory they supply Blackgates so give them a call as well. Andy |

Hello James
We are about to have our steel suppliers laser and water jet cut a complete kit of parts for a 1/3rd scale "TAW" from the frames to the tank lids. If you want to have them quote for your frames I could arrange it. (Accurate to 0.1 mm.) Reference my earlier post re "TAW" the project is now under way and my previous offer stands if anyone building or contemplating building this engine wants to come on board (Duplicate orders will cut the price) let me know .

Hi
try giving SCISS a ring. I dont know their phone number but they are in Staplehurst in Kent.
The company is run buy a model engineer and the work they have done for me is always first rate.
Its also waterjet cutting which is better

The E Mail for SCISS is sam@scissgroup.eclipse.co.uk aand as yer man says they are in
Staplehurst Kent. Their Machine accepts "imperial" being of U.S. manufacture
