I am now at the point in building my William where a carry box would be a good idea, it gets taken to college and back each week, currently wrapped in an old sheet, but now the valve gear is going on this is probably not good. I think it is now time for it to get a permanent home. Does anyone have any suggestions for building a box, type of handles, securing of loco etc or can you point me to a set of plans? Thanks Simon

Try B&Q for plastic moulded crates. I found one there which is perfect for carrying a RobRoy. All I had to do was put a piece of fibre board in the bottom with grooves cut to the gauge and add a bit of soft packing to take up any movement of the loco. Easy. Mott
