Can any one of our knowlegable members please help this forgetful old fool? some years ago when i made my rotary table, i had a change wheel set up to divide the edge of the table in 360 degrees,well, my brain has deserted me ,i can NOT remember how, or from where i arrived at the change wheel combination to carry out this task. Oh my lathe is a MYFORD ML7. If any one can help i will be eternaly in you debt

Did you have the table set up on the faceplate of the lathe and some kind of detent system somewhere in the changewheel chain? I'm thinking that a 60 tooth wheel, rotating at 6 times mandrel speed, would have a tooth passing a given point for each degree of rotation of the table.

Yup, that's how you do it. Len Mason gives a good clear description of the proceedure in his book

JOHN P Yes that's how i did it ,thanks for the reminder.
TEL You've scored again, Len MASONS book is exactly where i got the original info from. The only problem i have now , is you have confirmed that my brain is not working as it should, must definatley be old age catching up on me quicker than i thought. AGAIN THANKS TO JOHN P, and , THANKS TO TEL ,that's another pint i owe you when i go down under again.
