Well the membership of this forum is currently (22 Dec) at 595. Wouldn't it be nice to break the 600 barrier by the New Year?
Come to think of it, wouldn't it be nice to see postings from more of you? Come on, don't be shy.

Andy,
Do you know what the average views per topic is? I was looking at some recent post and 50 views seemed to be par for the course. Seems to me that as in all clubs getting 10% of the group involved is about the best you can expect.

Sadly one of the few criticisms I have of the hosting site/software for the forum is that they provide very little metrics/management information so I regret that i can't tell you what the average views per topic are. What does seem clear is that the vast majority of members prefer to post in the "General" areas and there's no real appetite for new speciallist groups at the moment.
Your assertion about 10% of the members being active is pretty much right - most of the posts here come from 55 members.
Cheers
Andy
PS: I note we are still at 595
