Aster has just produced an AD 60 Garrett in Gauge 1 www.asterhobbyusa.com/ I believe a few are left in the UK but most have been sold out world wide I think they only produced about 20 in total. oh! yes I forgot to mention the cost £9400 inc vat and there's supposed to be a recession on.

hello What an amazing price rather like the A4 on ebay at 8k recently. For that sort of money one has to seriously question if it is sensible to invest and hope to eventually get value back. At that level you can get a very nice 5" engine and bits and have a good chance of maintaining value. terry

Hi Terry, Aster's are a sound investment but if they are bought for investment only they must not be run although many used Asters are fetching much more than they were new. An example when the AD60Garrett was launched in first launched in 1993 they were about £5000 a lot of money in those days today they fetch £20,000 plus if one ever comes up for sale. The A4 that's been on Ebay was around £1700 new in 1984 today they would bring £5000 max that's why the Ebay one has not sold but still a good investment.
