If only I had the money to build 2, but strange that there seems to be several for sale at the same stage all at once.
Looking back to the time she was introduced, there were many time served engineers young keen and eager to have a go, many now too old to continue have to sell up before she steamed.
Note to self, cheat take short cuts and get her finished before I get too old!!!!

Now sold according to the website, anybody from on here bought it? Looked a good standard of build thus far.
Cheers,

I do not know who bought it, but I sold it to Station Road Steam. An old mate of mine got me involved in this loco, He suggested that I should buy from the original builder who had decided that he would never be able to complete it. I was a little hesitant to start with but when we arrived at his house & found out that he had already sold all the workshop machinery, as he had come to the stage where he was selling up & moving into sheltered accommodation. Between us we machined the cylinder block assembly complete with covers, pistons, piston valves & liners, complete set of rings, the crossheads. We also made up press tools to make the lagging covers. When my old mate passed away, as had the original builder. I decided it was not what I wanted to carry on with, to many 12 & 14 BA bolts for liking. My interest is narrow gauge & I started 7 1/4"G Edward Thomas back in 2000, but being a self employed engineer work has got in the way, but I have now very nearly retired so I hope to make progress, the proceed of the sale allowed me to buy the boiler from Western Steam, in fact 3 Edward Thomas Boilers were ordered at the same time from within our society but that's another story.
