Yesterday I was phoned by a young lady (I don't get many of those) who said she was from Model Engineer magazine, thanked me for subscribing in the past (wrong, I have never subscribed, I always buy it at the local WHS), and offering me the next 12 copies for £55. I said that I didn't pay that much anyway, and she replied that the normal price was over £70. I queried this, and she said that there must have been a mistake, and rang off. Presumably she was supposed to be offering a 12 months subscription for £55, but that wasn't what was said. Come on guys, it isn't that difficult to give someone a script and get them to read it out over the phone, but you can't even get that right!

That's an interesting approach, I wonder where she was from? 12 copies is an odd number for ME as it's published fortnightly. 26 per year and 12 to 14 issues per Volume.
More importantly has anyone noticed the price increase? At Issue 4373 on 12th March the cover price went up from £2.75 to £2.95. There was absolutely no mention in the Editorial and none since. Geoff

I thought the Editor monitored this section, but I posted the original thread over a month ago, and absolutely no comment from ME.

I don't think he monitors this section since they got their own forum on the ME website.
