A couple of years ago I was in Dearborn, Michigan on business and dropped into the Henry Ford museum where they have an Allegheny. Absolutely vast machine - on some measures, the biggest steam locomotive ever built, I believe. If I recall correctly, when the first one was built, they celebrated by having a black tie dinner in the (as yet unused!) firebox for about 12 people! Fortunately for the fireman, it is mechanically stoked with a screw taking coal from the enormous tender under the footplate into the firebox.
