Happy new year I am fitting the supplied regulator fitting from winson 1400 and have a few problems, the links are steel, has any one had rusting issues with this? also the linkages do not fit nicely inside the steam dome, the s/s valve is centre as it should be but the bolts rub on the inside of the dome, any advice would be gratefully received Dave

Hi Dave I can't comment on the detail as i have never even seen the set up you describe, but you do not want any mild steel inside the boiler at all.

I am also not familiar with this design, the parts could be stainless

Hi a magnet will give you a good indication of material, mild steel obviously is strongly attracted stainless is less strongly attracted or not attracted at all. If in doubt I would remake the links Regards Paul

thanks for the replies guys, I have tried the magnet trick and the links are less magnetic than mild steel. bit of filing and s/s nuts and bolts are called for.
