Hi guys, I am about to start a lickham hall. Is there one part built for sale? What are the problems etc Are the drawings any good, I have a full set. Any help and advice would be a great help. I think some laser cut parts are available. Should be a ten minute job. After just about to complete a 7.25 inch black 5. How close are the drawings to the real locomotive. I am not a rivet counter but would like to think it looks similar!!!. Regards Paul

Just wondered why a 3 1/2" query has ended up on the Gauge 1 section? Looking at the photos on ebay, if that's a 'pro' boiler, the foundation ring looks pretty rough.

Hello Paul---------- It's the better of the two Halls that Curly produced...This one was done for Reeves back in the late 1950's and is a fair representation of a "Modified" Hall....have a look at this}---- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GWR_6959_Class ---------- and also this}--- evergreen.zenfolio.com/img/s11/v29/p985180124-3.jpg ------------- The Halls and Black 5s' are closely linked both dimensionally and in heritage ( Stanier bringing a lot of "Churchward thinking" to the LMS.....You should find this quite familliar and easy after the big'un !!
