Yes even Chinese tea goes cold quickly in the workshop, whoever makes it.
Answers to why is it;
Batteries they do sell extra ones, but have you seen the price, cheaper to buy a complete kit. On parting tools going in from the rear is the only way and even works on the unimat. Time, go cnc and you can be happy with a long phone call to your mum. Double glazing sales, get wife to answer in Mandarin, they soon give up. Center poping, stick paper to the metal mark out and the paper makes sure it doesnt slip. Seeing drills, this is the main reason that digital calipers keep dropping in price after you have bought a pair last year. Then the battery needs changing so we're back to the first bit.

:'(Ive stopped taking tea to the workshop because it always ends up knocked over and running through a drawer or all over the plans - However I do have a magnet on the end of a long flexi arm - its a great pity that the piece that always gets lost is made of brass - I quite like the idea of coating everything in treacle so if it jumps off the bench it sticks to the floor. A really foolproof way of stopping all this is to sit here typing rather than going to the workshop

Terry: only if he has a dog. thefodenman: if you keep reamers all scuffling around in a box together then finding a small one is near the bottom will be the least of your reamer worries. Centre punch marks can be fairly near to where you hope with some care and a magnifier.

My worry is that after losing several tape measures my Wife bought me one that was bright orange, do you think I can always find it, even if it is sitting on the bench, ought to add I do use better measuring equipment when working on the 'model side' of the workshop! Stan.

get wife to answer in Mandarin Hmm they might, 100's of millions speak it. I get the boss to talk to them in Issan, nobody understands that!!. However I do get the drift when the knock comes on the workshop door at 11:30 in the evening, accompanied by an order... Regards, John

I've got the answer to P.I.L.A.F.B.S.
But you won't like it.
You need a washing machine.
I know it will take up valuable space in the workshop BUT..
It's a dead cert that any small dropped items will end up underneath it.
