. . . and one for that chap in Telford who likes green engines!!! 16A by brigandchief, on Flickr ---------------------------------- Ahhhhh !! ...my Baby !!----------and with a very young looking Andy Williams from the SVR on the footplate as well......My claim to fame is that I machined the R/H crosshead on our old shaper ( we didn't have those big milling machines that are there now ) .....................1980 and the Rocket 150 celebrations !!-----------I was on the other side-------------- Here's the movie >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> www.youtube.com/watch?v=tto4t-oYmNwHagley What a smashing film!!!!!!! Many thanks for showing me that! When you see that parade you have to ask yourself what to model next, they are all so priceless. You must have been in the thick of the rail preservation activity at the time if you 'made' or whatever bits for the 0-6-0, a Collett is it? I saw this by luck as one of the people in the Procor office was ex BR and had been given tickets but was not that interested and I was due to go back to Canada at that time. Rearranged things quickly as the Canadian offfice knew about my steam engine love as I had stopped 4472 outside our works for a few mionutes a few years earlier. Many thanks Haglay and btw love the music too!!! Cheers David PS and to top off a great day my Princess ran superbly today for a test run. One of our young members did ten laps non stop, it was just a pleasure to see it run! After all this excitment time for stiff gin!!!

I missed this post but was there with fading batteries as a student living at that time in Coventry. I stayed with my grandparents in Hale Altrincham and even managed a visit to York. I must have the ticket somewhere!!! Saw the Castle at Chester on my way back... Just had to do the Shrewsbury run!!!
